LOS LANCES BEACH, TARIFA

Los Lances is the main beach of Tarifa, a 7 km stretch of pristine white sand that extends north from Isla de Las Palomas towards Valdevaqueros. The only buildings on the beach are a couple of chiringuitos (beach bars); apart from that, it’s just sand and a lagoon surrounded by dunes and ancient forests, framed by mountains. You will share the space with local cows and horses that roam freely around Tarifa, as well as like-minded people seeking to escape the holiday package hotspots. It doesn’t get cooler than this. Los Lances is also the main kitesurfing area in Tarifa during the high season.

BEACH VALDEVAQUEROS, TARIFA

Valdevaqueros is located north of Los Lances and features the same white sand, with dunes and a small, tranquil lagoon. It has beach bars, restaurants, and campgrounds, so you’re never far from a bit of comfort. Slightly less exposed to the wind than Los Lances, it’s popular among kitesurfers on very windy days and when safety boats are not operating at Los Lances. For more information, contact us.

PUNTA PALOMA, TARIFA

Punta Paloma is located north of Valdevaqueros and is a bit more secluded, with fewer facilities but beautiful natural features. Here, you’ll find a large sand dune, and if you follow the beach past the dune, you’ll reach the bay and the village of Bolonia. Punta Paloma is another popular spot for kitesurfers under certain conditions.

PLAYA CHICA, TARIFA

Playa Chica is the last beach on the Mediterranean before meeting the Atlantic, a small golden sand beach in a protected cove next to the road to Isla de Las Palomas. If the wind blows from the Atlantic, this beach is shielded from waves, making it ideal for families with children and a safe spot for swimming, paddleboarding (SUP), diving, or snorkeling.
